After work hours Anna Lena is training Historical European Martial Arts in Norwegian fencing club Frie Duellister. She's training medieval fencing with one-handed sword and buckler, longsword and Iberian Montante technique for large two-handed swords. In Tromsø I am acting as a longsword instructor. Though it is demanding training that requires focus and good body coordination, intelligence to correctly interpret medieval fencing manuscripts and courage to do actual fight, it's also very rewarding.  Read more
